ten point press...

H E R E.

can't wait to get them myself...

it couldn't be...

that this one will get stolen as well.

not that I care about this stuff.

oh man...

could it be?. I hate that fucker Saxby. I once made one of his moran followers actually cry by forcing her to defend her IDIOTIC postition on why SUXBY was somehow superior to Max Cleland, whom they slandered.

that was back when I cared about things...

along the knife's edge...

do yourself a favor and go read the latest essay over at Along The Knife's Edge, a new online journal of essays put together by Hosho McCreesh and I. spend some time and browse around. we'll post whenever we have some good stuff (which will hopefully be frequently). soon we'll have a piece on Obama writ by justin.barrett, and one on McCain by McCreesh. eventually we'll probably put out a print edition. if you've any real life essays, any honest experience that translates into the context of the post-american dream world we live in, send em in and we'll give em a read.

in the meantime, read Father Luke's great piece H E R E.

enjoy...

orange spotlight...

jason at Orange Alert has posted a nice bit on In Gambler's Blood. check it out and if you've not ordered your copy of this little poker tome, you can do so H E R E.

done and done (hopefully)...

go early voting go! the lines here are incredible and folks are willing to stand in the rain to do it too.

overwhelming numbers: that's one of the best ways to keep em from stealing it again. that and making sure your fingers aren't stupid (what typical bullshit to blame folks for not pressing the right fucking button...). but at least this stuff doesn't happen anywhere else, really.

stuff...

Flahute has posted one of mine for Poetry Friday.

Hosho McCreesh H E R E, H E R E, H E R E and H E R E.

got my contrib copy of Johnny America #6 print edition and it's a fine fine bit of work all around. the cover art is dandy and the content is overall excellent. some of the stories are truly remarkable. worth checking out, I'd say.

the weather turns colder, a high wind blows thru the thin pine trees, the dogs curl up on the floor in furry balls of warmth, sunlight pours thru rolling gaps in thick white clouds, autumn is here and winter is not far off. there is art despite the state of things these days, there is still some will left, some spark unquenched by the past eight years of madness. despite ourselves we maintain some small hope for the few human beings who are actually alive in this land of the dead. with hurt backs and bent minds and narrowed eyes we endure and try to find our legs, we attempt smiles with tight lips, we try to dance to the sound of no music.

we keep ourselves able to wonder.

palin poetry...

like there's any question...

at least let's have competent thieves in charge, dynamic young thieves for a change who will at least smile as they rob us blinder and make us think they at least tolerate us, and not some freaky religious secessionist wolf-killing fake-folksy "hockey mom" and her older, angrier, more deranged and confused grandfather who is also insane.

review...

check out this dandy review of Hosho's newest book.

if you've not yet read it, seriously, what's your fucking problem?

you're not a moran, are you?

this will only matter to us DFHs...

but can I just really sincerely say:

WOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!.

"looks like we [don't] got ourselves a reader..."

neat. you know she reads, but doesn't want to offend those folks out there who hate their brains.
