gonna be moving soon...

our insane webmaster over at GPP Headquarters is adding a blog feature to the website, it's in its earliest stages at this point, but we hope to offer blogs to anyone who wants one under the GPP Banner, but especially to the GPP Poets and Operatives. some are already working on their blogs, j.b and mccreesh, most notably at this point. we will post over at the GPP Blog when we're up and running.

the blogs are WordPress based, a very fine system, and I hope to move all my posts, comments, links, everything over to the new blog soon. it is still called Upright Against The Savage Heavens and is under construction, so I will leave that link until we're fully operational.

more later...

there's no such thing as environmental troubles...

a new poem...

fresh from a few minutes ago (I anticipate writing a book's worth on this particular subject):

winter notes; for Cynthia

as thin wisps of silver
the edges of my brain,
my memory slips
so I have to write
some things down:

the swarm of starlings
over the midtown
in the pure purple orange
of a cold winter sunset;

how several distinct flocks
blurred together
were torn apart
into dappled shadows
and negative space
in the
watercolor light;

how you pointed them out
from beside me
before I could miss a chance
forging another memory;

how the scene became faint
the darkness came on;

how later
while we slept
I awoke
when you covered me
with a blanket.

"you were shivering,"
you said.

and if I
didn't say it then:

thank you.
