ol' henry sez...

"it may be that we are doomed, that there is no hope for us, any of us, but if that is so then let us set up a last agonizing, blood curdling howl, a screech of defiance, a war whoop! away with lamentation! away with elegies and dirges! away with biographies and histories, and libraries and museums! let the dead eat the dead. let us living ones dance about the rim of the crater, a last expiring dance.

but a dance!"

Henry Miller

ol' henry's an smart one.

reminds of that really bad country song from some 10 years ago. "now we'll dance" or something...

anyway, mr. miller has it right. it may be that we are doomed, but what can we do about it?

dance.

and laugh.

and sing to the heavens.

"the creative artist has something in common with the hero. though functioning on another plane, he too believes that he has solutions to offer. he gives his life to accomplish imaginary triumphs." H.M.

imaginary triumphs more real than the world of the human as we find it these apocalyptic days...

sing on my friend.
