Black Friday

The savages come out in force, a day after gorging on Turkey and stuffing, to purchase television sets, video games, and computers at five in the morning. The savages have been brainwashed that on "Black Friday," the day after Thanksgiving they must come out. If it means trampling other people to death or shooting someone else to get what they want, this is what they must do. In my neighborhood I saw people in tents outside of Best Buy three days before "Black Friday." I did not understand why they were out there at the time, until I read the story of the employee at Wal-Mart being trampled or the two people gunned downed at Toys r Us. If anything is to be understood about this, is that some people are savages, and that "greed" plays a part in this "Black Friday" idiocy.

The way I see it, if you're willing to get trampled at Wal*Mart for a $30 DVD player then that is PRECISELY what they should carve in your headstone.

Christmas Wish: for one fucking second people stop & ask themselves "what, specifically, do I REALLY NEED?"

&, if they do really need something, I hope they get it.

Exactly!

At the local Costco as you are leaving the store, they have some nifty looking coffins for sale.

They should have the diapers and cribs on the way in, or condoms.

unfortunately the guy who was trampled was opening the doors; an employee, and was crushed as the doors were RIPPED off the hinges.

it's a total compassion void that we are suffering, even more than any consumer madness.

we all have toys, but we didn't have to kill someone at five a.m. on a bullshit sale day (I read some articles that said there WERENT any major discounts and that as many these retailers are forced into bankruptcy/mall eviction, they will LIQUIDATE their inventory after the first of the year) (so we're also victims of cattle-like herding towards a collective screwing instead of making smart purchases, etc.).

no love for the service industry worker anywhere...

and TOTALLY AGREED about "need;" the coming depression/recession will help us all redefine that word a bit...
